Dog 29 Darran 4

Ever since Diesel has come to live with us it has been a battle between Darran and Diesel to see who can win. Diesel is a great escape artist, if we had known that when we got him we would have called him Houdini. He is a great dog, he just loves to be out of the back yard and near us any chance he gets. (As I am writing this he is asleep at my feet in the office). When we first got him, we had to re fence part of the back yard so that he wouldn't be able to get out. It was a great effort by Darran and our friend Tim, but Diesel quickly found his way out by jumping up on the fence and getting over to our neighbors garage roof and getting out that way. Every time Diesel has gotten out, Darran builds the fence higher, adds something to "keep the dog in" and every time thinks that he has won the battle. Look at the title of this post, dog 29 Darran 4. Obviously Darran isn't winning the battle. So when we got home last night and Diesel was still in the back yard, Darran was ecstatic! That lasted only 10 minutes until we saw Diesel in the front yard...poor Darran! I guess it's now becoming a battle of wills and whit. It will be interesting to see who finally gives in!
