Decorations
The house is finally decorated for Christmas! Now all we need is Christmas music and the smell of baked goodies coming from the kitchen! The pressies are starting to be wrapped and put under the tree...Christmas is really coming ready or not!
This is our little nativity scene area. The nativity scene on the right is from Darran's childhood and holds special memories for him. The wall hanging was a gift from my Aunt and the other little nativity is one I've had for years. I love this little area of my house!
These are one of my favorite things in our library! I'm so happy that I packed them and brought them to Oz. They hold many fun memories for me, and I am so glad they got here in one piece! I love how this turned out with all the holly and the berries....I love holly and berries...I love anything red, except the Utes. (Sorry Ute fans)
This is also in the library...I had to put out my snowflakes some where! Even though it's summer here and warm (well except right now as I write this...it's pelting down rain and very cold and windy) I had to have some snow...even though it isn't cold, wet or real...because Christmas isn't Christmas to me without snow.
Here are our stockings and our cute Santa and snowman figures that Pam and Russ gave us last year. They work perfectly for holding up our stockings!
And here is my Santa and snowman collection. Usually I have these guys scattered throughout the house bringing a bit of Christmas joy to every room in the house, but I thought this year that I would put them all together in the living room (lounge) and I think they look great! It makes me smile to see them all sitting there. In one of the Santa's laps there is a block that says, "Let it snow" Oh how we could only hope!!! It's always so much work to decorate for the holidays but I love it and wish we could keep it up a bit longer than we do.
