A fun little catch up

The day after we wrapped with the filming, the ladies from my old ward had scheduled a picnic lunch with the ladies in my branch.  This was the first time that we were getting together since after the ward was split and the branch was made in July.  This was also the first time that any of the sisters from the ward were coming down for an activity in the country.  As you can see here, it wasn't a huge turn out, there were 7 from our branch and 4 from the ward.  We all had such a great time that we have decided to get together again in February, when the weather is warmer, and hopefully more sisters from both the branch and ward will attend.

A funny little story about the picnic.  Like I said is was the day after filming.  Everyone was asked to bring their own lunch to the picnic, and everyone did, except for me.  You see, I had woken up that morning and for the first time in over 4 weeks didn't have to cook or make anything for anyone, including me, so all I went to the picnic with was a bottle of water.  Well, these darling ladies wouldn't hear of it, and offered me everything from sandwiches to fruit to brownies.  I explained to them several times that I was okay and that I really couldn't eat anything as I was "fooded out".  But they still wouldn't hear of it.  It was like having 10 grandmothers trying to feed me.  Bless their hearts! I'm happy to say that I didn't have anything, but was sent home with a tangelo because it was just too hard at the end to reason with them.

What a wonderful bunch of  dear sweet ladies that I am so blessed to know and call friends.
