It's been about a month since we wrapped on the filming of the Playbook. I can't believe that it has been that long, because in all honesty it seems like it was just yesterday. Where has the time gone? It seems to be flying these days. Like I said in previous posts, I have a ton of photos from the movie to wade through, but it will take weeks and I wanted to post a snap shot of what our life has been like during the filming. So here are a few pictures shot throughout the filming, with more to come.
On location at the foreshore in Inverloch. Filming the basketball training on the beach,
The basketball team doing training on the beach. Wouldn't you like to do a beach run for part of your basketball training? I remember those outdoor runs for basketball practice. The running we did wasn't nearly as scenic as this one.
These cute girls are daughters of my friends, who all happen to be friends as well. They were so excited when Darran asked if they would like to be in the movie. Shannen, Courtney and Angel were a hit with thel boys in the film. This was at the park during the party scene.
Party scene at the Glade in Inverloch. All the kids had a great time participating and their parents had a better time watching and giggling from behind the camera.
The Red camera that was used to film the movie.
Harry (who plays Cody) and Damien Bebe, our fabulous cinematographer, going over a few things in a scene they were filming on location in Archies Creek.
The last day of filming at the basketball stadium and before Hernando and Danny flew back to America and Queensland. See that darling blond referee? She got a call from her dad (the manager of the basketball stadium) on the first day of filming asking her to come down and help be a referee for the first day. She was such a good sport, she spent the rest of the week (which was the first week of school holidays) playing one of the main refs.
One of the locations used in the film. Who wouldn't love to have this as their office?
Meet Jack, who played Jack in the movie. He's 5 and FULL of life. Every time there was someone new on set he would make sure that they knew that his name was Jack, with a "hi I'm Jack." On the second day he was on set, he came running in and jumped in my arms and said, "It's cuddle time." He gives great hugs! And does a great T Rex impersonation.
This is Keely, who plays Quinn. This is on set at our house, in the room which is becoming my craft room (finally-more on that later). See that head board? It's from my childhood bedroom. That's Darran in the shot too, taking a mark, before they yelled "action".
This photo was actually taken from the actual film footage. Darran and his two "sons" saying their prayers. Jack and Will (who played Max).
As I continue to go through the photos I'll post a few more. Darran is continuing to put all the raw footage together, to see what bits and pieces we are missing and will have to shoot. He has also signed on two famous Aussie basketball players to make cameo appearance in the film. He's been meeting with distributors who believe in him and in the project, which is very exciting. We'll be filming a few more days, but most likely that won't happen until January when the kids are on summer holidays here and when the Aussie basketballers are available. The movie has to be released by July 2012, we have a ton of work to do between now and then, but we'll get it done. More exciting things to come!!!

so fun to see it coming along...loved the teaser trailer he sent out!
Love seeing all this. The running on the beach would have made my basketball experience better than that stinky gym we used to practice in.
Love that your bed is in the movie. I'm sentimental that way.
