Just because we started celebrating Pam's birthday a day early with the barbecue, didn't mean that the party stopped! The next day was her real birthday and Russ pulled out yet another surprise and brought her down to Archies on the Creek (a five star restaurant just down the road from our house). Pam had been wanting to go there since it opened, so it was the perfect place for a 70th luncheon. Little did she know that we had another surprise for her.
Over thirty years ago a little boy named Michael came into Russ and Pam's life. He quickly became a grandson to them. When things didn't work out with his mom and their son, they continued to keep in contact with Michael and his mom. So Russ thought it wouldn't be a family luncheon without Michael and his family there too. There were more tears when Pam walked in and saw Michael and his family there.
As we were waiting for our food we had the chance to chat and catch up, chase Christian and Mason (Michael's son) around and snap some photos. This is one of my favorites!

The little boys were getting restless, so we decided to take them outside to see the water and fish while we waited for lunch to be served.

The last time these three were together was for Terry's wedding in Perth over 5 years ago, so Pam wanted to get a picture of her three boys.

Make a wish Pam! We already know that it came true!!!
Family photo outside of Archies on the Creek. We had a lovely lady who works at Archies volunteer to take our photo. Michael's wife Kerrie, is a professional photographer and had an idea of how she wanted to set us all up. But the nice lady at Archies thought she knew best. Kerrie kindly suggested that we gather around the fountain (which is in the background over Darran's shoulder) so at least the lighting would be right. And the nice lady took this, our family photo. In the end all that really mattered was that we were all there to celebrate the birthday of an incredible lady, whom I'm so lucky to have as my mother in law!!!
